In this case, you should be careful when you get into a taxi. Only choose reliable taxi brands such as\u00a0Vinasun<\/a>, Mailinh<\/a> or Grab<\/a> (like Uber). If possible, let\u2019s take some pictures of the taxi\u2019s plate or the meter and confirm to the driver about the shortest path to your destination (We highly suggest you to use Google Map and Grab).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\n\nThe Grab app allows you to view the price upfront and accurately determine the exact distance. For a smoother transaction, it is recommended to use e-wallets or credit cards for payment, rather than cash whenever possible.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

However, it is widely known that some shopkeepers or vendors may inflate prices\u2014sometimes doubling or tripling them\u2014in an attempt to overcharge unsuspecting visitors. To avoid this, do not hesitate to negotiate and bargain, especially when shopping in markets or on the streets.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

3. Do not leave money or valuables in your hotel\/hostel<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

If the victims try to hold on or pull back, they might fall on the ground. Always carry your belongings on the opposite side to the flow of traffic and do not hold your valuables on your hand for too long in open space.<\/span>\n\nPicture this: you’re walking down a crowded, lively street and someone bumps into you. Feels normal, right? Until you realize your stuff’s gone! I learned this the hard way back in my freshman year. Trust me, take the hint, and avoid making the same mistake.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
