Discover the Cai Rang floating market, a colorful, buzzing market with hundreds of boat vendors selling fruits, vegetables & hot food from sunrise to late morning. Cruise down the Mekong River to witness the local village lifestyle and walking in the countryside for fresh air.
ITINERARY
- Depart from the hotel at 4 am to 5 am and take a 3-hour drive to Can Tho city.
- Arrive at Ninh Kieu pier and take a boat trip on Hau River to Cai Rang Floating market.
- Savour a locally styled breakfast, a bowl of noodle soup.
- Travel through the green and beautiful channels of the Mekong River stretching along with the rural villages to Phong Dien district.
- Drive to My Tho.
- Stop at a fruit orchard on the way and savour some tropical fruits.
- Arrive at My Tho and take another boat trip on Ham Luong River through natural canals to a local restaurant for lunch.
- Walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here you also can join daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Visit the bee house, and take the picture of the pythons. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.
- Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut’s trees. After your boat ride, take a bike ride around the island before returning to the bus.
